While often benign and manageable, bleeding from haemorrhoids should never be assumed without proper assessment. Rectal bleeding can also be a symptom of more serious conditions like colorectal cancer, which is why evaluation with a colonoscopy is often recommended, especially if you are over 40 or have other risk factors.
