If a suspicious lesion is identified, we can often obtain a definitive biopsy during the same procedure. If an early cancer is amenable to endoscopic removal (like a large polyp with cancer), we may proceed with curative resection immediately if pre-planned, or we will discuss the findings and next steps promptly in a follow-up consultation, integrating with our multidisciplinary cancer team.
